SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (SEO)
We’re sure you’ve heard the big buzz word on the Internet: SEO. But what does it really mean? Learn more!
Is SEO a monthly or one-time cost?
While it’s possible to optimize a website for a one-time cost if you choose to, the most effective SEO uses both on-site and off-site ongoing services. Your competition is constantly changing and evolving, so ongoing SEO gives you a huge advantage over your competition.
What is the cost for SEO?
The cost of SEO depends on industry, competition and how aggressive you are when it comes to reaching visitors. If you would like more information on SEO, call or email us for a custom quote and more information.
What is the difference between on-site and off-site SEO?
On-site SEO is optimizing the website content (tags, text, images & video) itself for search engines, essentially anything to make the site more relevant to your key phrases. Off-site SEO is engaging external content to build ranking, or any web optimization done outside of your site.
What is my website ranking dependent on?
Site ranking is generally “cumulative” and below are some factors considered:
- Whether you are targeting a regional, national or international market.
- The specific keyword phrases (search terms) that have been targeted.
- The progress of your inbound linking campaign.
- How well ranking is monitored and the site tweaked over time for SEO improvement.
- The overall competitiveness of your industry – how many players are there?
Why doesn't my website rank well in the search engines?
Having a high-ranking website in search engines is a specific science, and the rules for SEO are constantly changing. While there are a number of reasons you could have a poor ranking, here are a few you may want to consider:
- Incorrect usage of the TITLE tag or no TITLE tag content.
- Too many occurrences of the same word in a page (spamming).
- Missing H1 and H2 heading tag content.
- Missing ALT tag content in your graphic links.
- No meaningful content in the first 250 characters on each page.
- Less than 200 words per page.

What is the cost of a website?
Many factors go into the overall cost of a website. We’ve done it all, from small websites to large, so it ultimately depends on the size and scope of the project. Depending on your budget, we will develop a solution that fits your needs.
Why do you ask for a budget?
There are many ways to build a website, each with different pros/cons and price points. Knowing a general budget allows us to make recommendations on how to help you get the most for your money. We develop long lasting relationships with our clients and pride ourselves on offering the best value.
What's the typical turnaround time for a website build?
Typically the planning, design, development and launch phases take somewhere between 2-3 weeks; however, larger or more complex websites may take longer. We know your satisfaction is best achieved when you’ve had time to review and provide your feedback for changes. We stay in communication with you along all phases of development and deliver exactly what you ask for.
Can you also host my website?

What happens to my website after it is launched?
Upon successful launch of your site, we’ll begin to monitor the site’s performance and recommend ongoing marketing initiatives based on the data gathered. This is a great time to discuss advertising opportunities such as PPC, email and traditional media. In regards to edits and site changes, we offer ongoing support services that will allow you to keep us at bay for any on-demand requests.
For those of you who have heard of “PPC,” but have no idea what it does or what it stands for. We’ve got you covered here.
What is Pay-Per-Click (PPC)?
PPC is an Internet marketing tool in which each time someone clicks an ad you’ve placed in a search engine’s results, you pay a fee. Such ads are typically the top search result and also seen down the right column of major search engines such as Google. The ad you’ve placed is always associated around a specific keyword or phrase, and the more you pay or “bid” for that keyword or phrase, the more effective your ad will be. In turn, your site will rank higher in paid search results.
Is Pay-Per-Click worth the money?
There are both advantages and disadvantages to investing in Pay-Per-Click advertising. The advantage is, with analytics you can determine which keyword phrases are converting best. A conversion happens when someone clicks on your ad and is then taken to your website. The disadvantage of Pay-Per-Click is too many companies complain that not enough genuine customers click on their ads thus spending a lot of money for poor leads.
